PostHeaderIcon Can large inductors be printed on microchips?

You’d never believe that I used to be an electronics technician. My knowledge in this field is decades out of date. To make a resonant circuit like a radio tuner you need a capacitor and an inductor. In the 1970s you could print resistors, capacitors, transistors and diodes on IC chips, but not large inductors. Can this now be done? How? What is the largest inductor that can be incorporated into a silicon chip? Some very small devices which incorporate resonant circuits are now available; cellphones, GPS, watches, radio and TV receivers. What do they use for inductors? Back in the ’70s, the best you could do by way of incorporating a coil on a microchip was to print a flat spiral conductor, which had a very limited inductance. Can you yet make 3-D structures on microchips, like cylindrical coils, built up layer by layer?Sorry, I didn’t make myself clear. By a large inductor, I meant one with a large number of henries inductance, not a big component. What I’m asking is, with my out-of-date electronics knowledge, the only way I know to make a small electronic device which includes an inductor with a large number of henries inductance, like a VLF radio for a submarine, is to make the coil the old fashioned way, with wire, and connect it to the microchip containing the other components. Is there yet a way to include the inductor on the chip with the other components?

PostHeaderIcon Should I Get A Shots/Vaccine Before visiting Mexico or Get Shots while Visiting Mexico?

First time i am planing to visit Mexico solo with my 2 best gadgets (1) Garmin GPSMap 5012 and (2) Compass Global 1000 yes my sneaker that’s what it is. This Sneakers have an integrated GPS receiver which, in case of Mexican Crisis, (like unfortunate situation like mexican corrupt police try to do somthing to me) you can activate to send a signal to the company and to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City for Aid. Now let’s go back to solo topic the first thing i want to point out is that when you hear the term ?solo travel,? you might interpret that to mean ?all by yourself, all the time, always alone? ? and nothing could be further from the truth. Unless you?re planning some kind of vision quest where your goal is to get away from all other human beings, you?ll have plenty of opportunities to meet up with other travelers at any point during your journey. The fact is that solo travelers often have an easier time of meeting other people locals and visitors alike than people who travel in groups. Why is this?
